Terms of Use — Yes Plate
Last updated: 20 September 2026
What this is
These terms cover your use of the Yes Plate mobile app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
The app is made and published by an independent developer — not a company, and not a medical organisation. Contact: hello@yesplate.app
Yes Plate is not medical advice
This is the most important part of this document.
Yes Plate offers general recipe ideas and estimated nutrition figures. It does not know your diagnosis, your test results or your treatment. It is not a doctor, not a dietitian, and not a substitute for either.
- The conditions in the app describe common dietary restrictions in general terms. Your own restrictions are set by your doctor, and they take precedence over anything the app shows you.
- Nutrition figures are estimates, calculated from typical ingredients and reference data. Your actual portion will differ.
- Daily targets come from formulas. For some conditions the correct figure cannot come from a formula at all — with kidney disease, the protein target depends on the stage and is set by a doctor. That is why the app lets you enter your own.
Do not change your diet or your treatment on the strength of this app alone. Where the app and your doctor disagree, follow your doctor.
The app is provided as it is
The app is free and comes with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be free of errors, available at all times, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Recipes and nutrition data are prepared carefully and checked by automated tests, but mistakes are possible. If you find one, please write — the address is at the end.
Limitation of liability
So far as the law allows, the developer is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including decisions about food that you make with its help.
Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited. That includes harm to life and health caused through the developer's fault, and harm caused deliberately. A document cannot sign those away, and this one does not try.
What you may and may not do
Use the app for yourself, free of charge, on your own devices, and show it to anyone you like.
What you may not do: copy the recipe database or the app's content into a product of your own, sell it, or present it as your own work.
Your data
Yes Plate keeps your data on your device. What exactly is stored, and the one thing that leaves the device, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
The stores
The app is distributed through Google Play and the App Store. Their own terms apply to you as well, and installation and any refunds are handled by the store, not by the developer.
Changes
The app changes, and these terms may change with it. When they do, the date at the top changes too. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. Nothing in them takes away the consumer rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
